Operation Christmas Child is the world’s largest children’s Christmas project, run by the Christian relief and development organisation Samaritan’s Purse.

The idea is simple: demonstrate God’s love in a tangible way to needy children around the world, and share the Good News of Jesus Christ. And all with a simple shoebox.

At New City Church, we are inviting as many people as possible to partner with us in packing and sending shoeboxes to children who really need to be shown that they are loved. All the details of how to pack a shoebox can be found on the Samaritan’s Purse website.

Use the instructions to pack your shoebox and then bring it with you to our special Shoebox Service on 18th October at 10.30am, where we will collect all the shoeboxes and pray for those who will receive them. Then, once all the shoeboxes are collected, we will ensure that they are delivered to one of the drop-off points.

Please note that Samaritan’s Purse ask for a ┬ú3 donation to cover the cost of shipping your shoebox overseas. You can make your donation online and print off a unique barcode so that you can track where your shoebox has been sent.
