As a church, we place a high priority on praying together.
It’s what the early church did (see Acts 2:42), and we are encouraged to always keep on praying (Eph 6:18).
Therefore, we make plenty of room for prayer in our weekly services and mid-week homegroups, and we also set aside specific times to pray together. Our aim is to help each other grow in prayer and to seek our Heavenly Father for his work in Milton Keynes and around the world.
Every Sunday at 10am
Before our weekly service, we gather at MK SNAP to pray for our time together, asking God to speak through his Word and encourage his people as they meet.
Central Prayer – First Sunday Evening
We meet for prayer on the first Sunday evening of each month, usually in someone’s home. We will start by looking at a short portion of Scripture to set our minds on the God we’re praying to and what he has promised. Then we will spend most of our time praying together, often sharing things to pray for one another, our city, nation and world.
Third Tuesday/Wednesday Evening
In the third week of each month we pause our homegroup meetings and instead all come together for prayer, in much the same way as the Central Prayer meeting.
Day Of Prayer
We set aside a Saturday in the Spring to fast and pray together, meeting in homes at certain times throughout the day.
Week Of Prayer
Early in September, at the start of a new academic year, we spend a whole week praying together, usually during the evenings. You can read about how we do this in an article on the FIEC website.
All the details of when and where these times of prayer are happening will be published on our calendar.
