You may not know much about Jesus but you probably quote him on a regular basis without even realising it! Here’s some things that Jesus said that you probably say too:[NB: Many of these sayings were originally taken from the King James Version (1611) of the Bible, while the verses quoted here are from the more modern-sounding New International Version (1984).
Wolf in sheep’s clothing
ÔÇ£Watch out for false prophets. They come to you in sheep’s clothing, but inwardly they are ferocious wolves.ÔÇØ (Matthew 7:15)
Eye for an eye
ÔÇ£ÔÇ£You have heard that it was said, –Eye for eye, and tooth for tooth.’ÔÇØ (Matthew 5:38)
ÔÇ£But a Samaritan, as he traveled, came where the man was; and when he saw him, he took pity on him.ÔÇØ (Luke 10:33)
Cast the first stone
ÔÇ£When they kept on questioning him, he straightened up and said to them, ÔÇ£If any one of you is without sin, let him be the first to throw a stone at her.ÔÇØÔÇØ (John 8:7)
Out of the mouths of babes

Don’t cast your pearls before swine
ÔÇ£ÔÇ£Do not give dogs what is sacred; do not throw your pearls to pigs. If you do, they may trample them under their feet, and then turn and tear you to pieces.ÔÇØ (Matthew 7:6)
Red sky at night/ Sign of the times
ÔÇ£He replied, ÔÇ£When evening comes, you say, –It will be fair weather, for the sky is red,’ÔÇØ (Matthew 16:2)
